01Optimal efficiency: Due to its installation at the foremost or sternmost spot of the boat hull and the signifi cantly lower position under water in comparison to conventional thruster systems, an optimal leverage is achieved. Therefore EXTURN moves much bigger boats than traditional thrusters with nominal lesser power. Furthermore due to the optimal leverage the boat responses considerably faster. 02Simple installation: For the installation of EXTURN it is merely necessary to drill a hole of 50 mm in diameter through the hull for the threaded bolt which serves as the cable run. This bolt is supplied with a special pressure-tight sealing which closes the drilled hole automatically and eliminates the need of GRP work.The included mounting kit is fixed with screws including pressure-tight sealings and gives EXTURN the required stability.

03No space inside: Except of the relay and the cable run the bow or stern thruster requires no space in the boat interior.

04Minimal noise: Due to the positioning outside the hull, the therefore minimization of cavitation and the usage of rubber pads on all fastening elements, EXTURN has much less noise emission than conventional thruster systems.

05Longer runtime: The shift of the motor to the outside and the water cooling provide EXTURN with a much longer runtime per hour than conventional thruster systems. Depending on water temperature the continuous runtime is 4 minutes, however after required short cooling intermissions up to 25 minutes per hour!

06Also the ideal solution for wooden boats and houseboats: Due to the elimination of GRP work, EXTURN is also the ideal solution to make wooden boats or houseboats easier maneuverable.

The EXTURN bow and stern thruster is mounted outside of the hull, ideally (optimal rotation angle and efficiency) on the outermost position of the boat’s bow or stern. It is mounted by one threaded bolt which is designed as a hollow shaft and serves as the cable run. This bolt is supplied with a special pressure-tight sealing which closes the drilled hole automatically and permanently. An included mounting kit gives EXTURN the required stability, prevents twisting and guaran- tees simple and fast mounting on any boat type. Due to no GRP work (no drying periods!) EXTURN can be mounted within one day.

EXTURN offers 3 different mounting kits:

- Adapter (installation kit with streamline adapter) (recommended!)
- Basic (standard installation kit with 2 mounting bolts)
- Fixing Straps (installation kit with 2 flexible fixing straps)
