This 25ft cruiser has a wide beam of 9ft. The slightly stepped hull reduces bow rise whilst accelerating and allows level running at fast semi displacement speeds. Like all Lema boats the Gold-S has excellent rough water capability. Volvo provides the engines - diesel or petrol. Probably the most popular size of family cruiser on the UK market, the Gold-S is unique in offering either a single engine or twin-engine installation.
Lema offer a choice of hull graphics or a plain white hull, and a range of upholstery colours and patterns to choose from for the cabin and the cockpit.
The cockpit is remarkably spacious with seating for 8 people, a full-length sun bed, table and plenty of storage space. The swim platform has a boarding ladder and transom shower, and the floor is self-draining. For diving enthusiasts an extended swim platform is an available option. The helm is neatly laid out with engine controls and instruments easy to see and reach. Walk around side decks lead to the anchor locker and an electric anchor is available as an option. Included is a bow mattress for sun worshippers.
Teak steps down into the cabin reveal a spacious fully insulated cabin with a teak floor and wood cabinets. An aft cabin has a good-sized double bed and the forward dinning area converts into another double bed. The electric flush toilet also has a basin and shower. The Galley is well equipped and includes a fridge/freezer, sink and stove.
Powered by a Volvo D3 190hp diesel engine the Gold-S has a range of around 200 miles which makes it a good coastal cruiser; but with walk around decks the boat is equally at home ambling down rivers such as the Thames where locks will be easy to manage. Slow speed manoeuvring is truly excellent.
